WOMEN & CHILDREN'S SERVICES PROGRAM
HPM's WCS program is designed to work in collaboration with physicians
to assist members with achieving optimal healthcare for all health issues
related to women & children, including pregnancy. HPM emphasizes
the importance of actively pursuing and obtaining early preventative
care. Furthermore, educating members about their health is a key component
of our agenda. For more information, call Women & Children's Services

- Streamlining the authorization process for physicians treating
members for pregnancy-related services by allowing the OB/Gyn to request
the necessary services independent of the PCP by contacting WCS directly.
- Offering additional support services for our pregnant women and
infants such as Maternal Infant Health Program, childbirth education
classes, Diabetic education training and nutrition when applicable.
- Supply physicians with member updates regarding women's & children's
health HEDIS measures, such as lead screenings, adolescent & well
child visits, pap smears, mammograms, Chlamydia tests, prenatal &
postpartum visits.
- Using various outreach efforts to educate female members in hopes
that they will take charge of their health and eagerly seek early
preventative care for themselves and their children.
